NY State Parks to begin taking new camping reservations

Get your camping gear ready. New York State Parks will start taking new camping reservations on June 8.

The earliest campers will be able to pitch their tents will be June 22.

State campsites, cabins, and cottages are currently only open to people who had existing reservations.

The state Parks Department says they’ll start taking new reservations on Monday morning at 9 a.m. for all types of sites – including tents, trailers, RVs, and cabins.

Campers are reminded that they’ll need to practice social distancing and brings masks along with the rest of their camping supplies.

Call 1-800-456-CAMP or visit https://newyorkstateparks.reserveamerica.com/ to make a reservation. No walk-up reservations will be allowed.
