Saratoga Springs man accused of drugging drink

SARATOGA SPRINGS - A 30-year-old man is arrested, accused of drugging someone's drink at Gaffney's Restaurant in Saratoga Springs.

Police say a patron saw Nicholas Lareau putting something into the person's drink. The patron described Lareau using an eyedropper to put the drops into the drink. Police say the two did not know each other.

When confronted, Lareau left the restaurant and the patron told security.

Police found Lareau leaving a different establishment on Caroline Street.

Police found the dropper and say the bottle contained MDMA. They also say he had several loose Xanax pills as well.

He is now in jail.
