Gloversville police have arrested an 18-year-old man they say grabbed a minor, tried to pull her behind a building, and made forced sexual contact with the girl.

Police say surveillance cameras and physical evidence helped secure Nicholas Warner's arrest.

He's now charged with attempted kidnapping and sexual abuse.

Authorities responded to Gloversville Middle School Friday morning, after learning the child had been assaulted on Spring Street Hill, behind the high school.

Though police say there's no continued threat to the public, students, or staff, they want to hear from anyone with additional info. You can call Gloversville Police at (518) 773-4506.
