BALLSTON SPA - Joseph Brosko and Nikolai Mavashev had known David Feliciano since the second grade, and yet those teens had no qualms about driving over to Feliciano's Mechanicville home last August 7th and pumping five bullets into him.

"There is no sentence that will ever make your hearts whole again," stated Saratoga County Court Judge James Murphy.

Murphy said it's "unfathomable" to him that these young men concocted such a "diabolical, pre-planned, cold-blooded" murder plot.

For their crimes, Brosko got 18-years to life. Mavashev, the triggerman, got 20-to-life.

But Murphy also stated any punishment falls "significantly short."

"I can not imagine the fear my child had as he ran out that door with five gunshot wounds that you caused," said Bonnie Jones, Feliciano's mother, during a tear-filled victim impact statement Wednesday morning.

Feliciano was one of five children that his mother said made up a close-knit, loving family.

"You planned to go to David's house to rob and kill him," Jones pointed out to the killers, "On that day you robbed us. You committed this horrific act on David's brother Jonathan's 15th birthday. You stole all my future hugs and I-love-yous."

Nadine Doyle was Feliciano's girlfriend.

"You both ruined my life," Doyle began, "You ruined all the plans that we had. David's life just started. He had such a great life ahead of him. He was smart and so determined to make something of himself."

Doyle says she believes in karma, and she seems convinced that it will soon kick in.

"What goes around comes around and not just in this life time," Doyle states, "You two will forever be punished. Your souls will never be free again. You two have taken David's body from us but you can't kill his soul, not a soul like that."

Two teenagers have been sentenced in a Mechanicville murder.

Joseph Brosko got 18 years to life and Nikolai Mavashev got 20 years to life in connection with the death of 19-year-old David Feliciano. Both men previously pleaded guilty.

Feliciano was shot and killed at his Mechanicville apartment last August. The two teens were attempting to rob him.
