Nine survive in Pittsfield fire

PITTSFIELD-- Officials say nine people survived a duplex fire Sunday morning. 

According to our media partners at the Berkshire Eagle, the fire seemed to have started on the lower level of 11 Kellogg Street.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and were able to quickly knock the fire out. Two cats were rescued and one was transported to the vet. the other was seen recuperating in the arms of an EMT after receiving oxygen. Another cat remains missing. All tenants made it out safely. 

The cause of the fire is still unknown. A city building inspector was at the scene.
