August 03, 2018 04:52 PM

The GE employee accused of stealing trade secrets is now out on bail.

Xiaoqing Zheng's home was raided by federal agents on Wednesday in Niskayuna. They removed a computer tower as well as his passport, which showed five trips to china in the last two years.

Zheng started working as an engineer at GE in 2008.

He stole secrets about the company's turbine technologies, authorities said.

It's not clear what happened to the files after he emailed them to himself.
