Niskayuna Middle School's rowing team is back on the water, after severe weather almost beached their Fall season.

Friday was the first practice for the 35 students on the modified team.

Back in late July, a storm knocked down a tree that landed on seven of their boats, destroying them.

But with the generous help of several organizations loaning equipment, the team was able to get back to work when the school year kicked off.

School officials tell NewsChannel 13 they are still short $65,000 of their goal.
