DELMAR - A North Greenbush man is accused of impersonating a state official.

Bethlehem police say they responded to a two-car accident on Delaware Ave. in Delmar early Saturday morning. There, they say they found one of the drivers, 33-year-old Jason Nurmi, high on drugs.

They say Nurmi told police he was an investigator with the state task force and even had a badge and red and blue lights for his car.

After investigating, police say they found that Nurmi is not actually associated with any government agency. He now faces a list of charges.

The driver of the second vehicle in the crash, a 36-year-old man from Wilton, was transported to Albany Medical Center with minor injuries.
