NTSB demands access to limo in Schoharie crash

December 20, 2018 06:17 PM

The NTSB says it can't delay the investigation into the deadly Schoharie crash any longer.

The NTSB wrote a letter to Schoharie County District Attorney Susan Mallery. In it, it accuses Mallery's office of preventing the NTSB team from doing its job.

The letter says that the district attorney's office has been unresponsive to the agency's attempts to obtain information via letter, emails and phone calls, citing their busy schedule.

The NTSB team says it's been denied access to the limousine involved in the crash that left 20 people dead.

The NTSB is asking for these issues to be resolved:

  • Immediate access to the limo.
  • An un-redacted copy of reports and pictures and video taken during the examination.
  • Immediate access to other vehicles impounded from the limo company.
  • Storage of the vehicle to protect its integrity.

NewsChannel 13 called the district attorney's office looking for comment. We've gotten no response yet.
