NXIVM leader back in federal court

NXIVM leader Keith Raniere made an appearance in federal court on Thursday.

NewsChannel 13 has learned attorneys for Actress Allison Mack and longtime bookkeeper Kathy Russell informed the judge the two women are still in active plea negotiations.

The judge also dismissed three counts of child pornography against Raniere, because the alleged crimes happened in another district. However, those crimes could be prosecuted in another district.

Jury selection is set to begin on April 8, with a trial date of April 29.
