As NewsChannel 13 has reported before, a trust funded By Seagram's Liquor heiress Clare Bronfman is bankrolling the defense for her co-defendants - including Keith Raniere.

A judge on Monday raised concerns that 75-percent of that trust has already been spent.

The judge asked each defense attorney to write him a confidential letter about what happens if the money runs out.

Prosecutors have already called the financial setup a conflict of interest.

The trial is scheduled for April.
