NY Assembly minority leader introduces legislation to prevent license plate fee

Another leader from the upstate region has introduced a bill to prevent a $25 fee for new license plates.

New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb introduced legislation that would protect drivers from the Cuomo administration's mandated fee on new license plates.

The bill would prohibit New York State's Department of Motor Vehicles from requiring a fee when the design of the state's license plate is changed.

The bill mirrors a proposal released Thursday by Senator Robert Ortt.
