The "Green Light Law" is set to go into effect Monday.

It allows all New Yorkers to apply for a driver's license regardless of whether they're a citizen, or in the country legally.

After state lawmakers passed this in June, Merola filed a lawsuit challenging it.

Merola told NewsChannel 13 back then he thinks the law is unconstitutional and that he would be sending people who are undocumented to the Albany DMV to get a license.
