Troy cop retires after 43 years of service

A longtime Troy police officer hung up his badge on Friday morning.

Officer Paul Carney has retired from the department.

Carney worked as a Troy police officer for 43 years, starting out as an intern.

He was the eldest active member of the Troy Police Department - and Troy PBA.

Congratulations to Officer Carney - and thank you for the years of service.
