COHOES - Steven Elinski and his wife Barbara are the newest New York State millionaires.
Elinski won $1 million in the March 27 Powerball drawing. New York State Lottery's Yolanda Vega presented them with the winning check on Firday.
Elinski purchased his ticket at LePage's Market in Cohoes on the morning of the drawing. He says he has been playing the same numbers for about four years now.
The jackpot was a whopping $768.4 million. The jackpot winning ticket was sold to a 24-year-old man in Wisconsin.
Elinski was one of seven people to match five numbers on their tickets to win the second-place prize amount.
Elinski says he and his wife will use some of the money to visit a few countries in Europe.
