$1,000 donated to special room at Albany International Airport that helps military members

COLONIE - A donation is made to the John J. McKenna Military Courtesy Room at Albany International Airport.

The $1,000 gift comes from Todd Helfrich, president and CEO of the Eastern Contractors Association.

The room is named in honor of Captain John McKenna IV of Clifton Park, who was killed in 2006 while serving in Iraq.

The room provides a place for traveling military personnel to rest and help them with any difficulties in their travels.

To date, more than 38,000 members of the military and their families have used the room.
