A fire isn't stopping operation "Adopt-a-Soldier" in Saratoga County.

The organization is ready to ship out its first round of care packages, one month after a fire destroyed its headquarters in Wilton.

More than $8,000 was raised using GoFundMe and residents made donations at locations across the Capital Region.

The first batch of packages will be shipped out Sunday afternoon.

The group is still collecting items and accepting donations ahead of the holiday season.
