Operation Adopt-a-Soldier prepares to ship care packages

Even after a fire, operation "Adopt-a-Soldier" is still moving strong. 

The organization in Saratoga County is getting ready to ship out its first round of care packages, one month after a fire destroyed its headquarters in Wilton.

On Saturday, Adopt-a-Soldier and U.S. Military vets will celebrating with a cookout. The event begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Naval Support Activity MWR Office (located at 3569 Galway Road in Ballston Spa.) 

Operation Adopt a Soldier is a volunteer program raising awareness about the daily sacrifices made for the safety and freedom of Americans.
