Police in Lake George cracking down on drunk boaters

LAKE GEORGE - "Operation Dry Water" is coming to Lake George. It's a national campaign to promote awareness of boating under the influence.

Boating while intoxicated checkpoints will start on Saturday, June 30.

Officers will typically stop between 100 and 250 boats and check for safety equipment and signs of drinking and driving.

Last summer, 19 people were arrested for boating while intoxicated.
