Schenectady fire deemed not suspicious

SCHENECTADY - The American Red Cross is helping one person after a fire early Wednesday morning in Schenectady.

The cause is under investigation, but it's not considered suspicious.

Firefighters responded to the home on Turner Avenue just after 2 a.m. They arrived to heavy fire on the second floor on the porch.

The fire was put out in 20 minutes. All residents got out safely. No one was hurt.

There is major fire and water damage on the second floor.
