Fort Edward fire leaves man in critical condition

FORT EDWARD - A man is in critical condition after being pulled from a burning home in Washington County.

The fire broke out around midnight Thursday evening at 98 East Street in Fort Edward.

Police say two other people in the home escaped safely.

NewsChannel 13's media partners at The Post-Star report 38-year-old Gary Harrington is now at the Westchester Burn Unit.

Firefighters say the fire began in the kitchen, but they're investigating the exact cause.
