Part of former Schenectady Grossman's building collapses

SCHENECTADY - Part of the former Grossman's on Erie Boulevard in Schenectady has collapsed.

The portion of the old rail depot went down Tuesday morning during the snowstorm.

Firefighters responded to the scene, but the building was empty.

The building -- which dates back to the 1800s, was scheduled to be torn down next week to make way for a new gas station in the city.
