Victim's name released in deadly Saratoga Springs accident

SARATOGA SPRINGS - A pedestrian has died after being hit and killed in Saratoga Springs. It happened after 1 a.m. Monday on Route 9 near Driscoll Road, near the Design Motel.

Police say 19-year-old David Bridegroom of Johnsonville was hit by a taxi.

According to preliminary investigations, the taxi had just picked up a fare at the motel and was headed northbound on Route 9 when it hit Bridegroom.

Police say the 24-year-old taxi driver is cooperating with investigators.

No arrests have been made at this time.
