Woman uses pepper-spray to stop attempted robbery

ALBANY - Police in Albany say a woman pepper-sprayed her way out of a robbery Monday morning.

Police were called to the Sheridan Avenue parking lot for a report of an attempted robbery.

The victim told police she was waiting for the elevator when a man came up to her and told her she was being robbed. She had pepper spray on her and used it.

He took off empty-handed.

The woman was not hurt.
