Price Chopper and Market 32 will no longer be handing out disposable plastic bags starting Saturday, August 1.

They removed them from stores when the state ban went into effect March 1. However, they were brought them back during the pandemic because paper bags were scarce and some customers felt reusable bags were unsafe.

The stores will resume packing groceries in reusable bags and paper bags can be purchased for five to 15 cents.
