The annual Polar Plunge returns to Caroga Lake on Wednesday.

This is the 12th year for the event, and it benefits the Caroga Lake Volunteer Fire Company.

The polar bears will take the plunge at 1 p.m. There will also be an open house from noon until 3 p.m.

They're asking that you donate $50 to the volunteer fire department if you want to take the plunge.

Last year's event raised a little over $3,000.
