Police: Glens Falls man arrested for DWI

QUEENSBURY - A man was arrested Friday after police say he was driving while intoxicated.

It happened around 1:00 a.m. on interstate 87 between exits 20 and 21. Police received a complaint of a motorcycle driving at a high speed. When patrols located the driver, he fled the scene.

Moments later, officers were able to locate the suspect, 23-year-old Jacob M. Winchell of Glens Falls. After an investigation, police discovered that Winchell was involve in a vehicle property damage accident when he lost control of his motorcycle on West Mountain Road. They also discovered he was driving with a suspended license. 

After he was arrested, police say a chemical test showed a blood alcohol content of .16%. Winchell was released pending prosecution in Queensbury Town Court at a later date.
