Police located suspect in local check fraud scheme

A suspect in a check fraud scheme in the Capital Region has been located.

State police say they located Cameron Dobbs of Guilderland and charged him with criminal possession of a forged instrument.    


They say Dobbs was paid by an employer with a check for work he had done.

He then allegedly created five fake checks and cashed them, collecting 4,300 dollars.    

State police say Dobbs also gave them false information while being interviewed.
