Police: man charged after falsely reporting incident

A Gloversville man is charged with falsely reporting an incident. 

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office arrested 28-year-old Conrad Chapin Friday morning. They say he lied about finding a stray dog in Johnstown and turning the pup over to animal control.

Authorities say this wasn't true, and that Chapin actually kept custody of the animal for roughly two months. He's due back in court next month.
