Police release names of protesters arrested in Albany

Albany Police have released the names of those arrested Thursday at South Station where police cleared out protestors who had been camped out on Arch Street illegally for nearly a week.

  • Daniel Robins, 24, of Delmar – Disorderly Conduct
  • Shaqueena Charles, 29, of Albany – Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd, Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Assembly
  • Nikiya Charles, 25, of Schenectady – Disorderly Conduct
  • Samira Sangore, 22, of Clifton Park – Disorderly Conduct
  • Michaela Foster, 22, of Schenectady – Disorderly Conduct
  • Zachary Coager, 28, of Albany – Disorderly Conduct and Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd.
  • Brandon Brown, 21, of Schenectady – Disorderly Conduct
  • William McQuerrey, 28, of Cambridge – Assault 2nd and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th.
  • Francis Magai, 23, of Troy – Riot 1st
  • Mehr Sharma, 21, of Albany – Riot 1st

Two people are also facing charges for their role in the protest that happened April 14. That's when a window was smashed at South Station and police peppered-sprayed protestors. Alexis Figuereo, 34, of Saratoga Springs and Brandon Brown, 21, of Schenectady are charged with Riot 2nd, Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd, and Unlawful Assembly.
