Police: Schenectady pair stole thousands in unemployment benefits

SCHENECTADY – A Schenectady man and woman allegedly took thousands of dollars in unemployment benefits they were not entitled to.

Police say 36-year-old Sewkaran Bisnauth stole $5,437.50 and 36-year-old Alison Chandler stole $4,123.

They were charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records and are due in court at a later date.
