Police investigating two shootings in Albany

Albany police are investigating two shootings that happened on Monday night.

Police responded to a call around 8:30 p.m. from Albany Med of a gunshot victim with a wound to his abdomen walking into the emergency room.


They say that the victim is a 44-year-old man who was shot in the 100 block of Bradford Street.  He was admitted to Albany Med and his condition is unknown at this time.

Albany police are also investigating a second shooting that happened at 10 p.m. on Monday night in the area of First and Quail streets. They say a 27-year-old man was shot in the torso. That victim was admittedalso  to Albany Med and remains there. His condition is unknown.

Police say no arrests have been made in connection to either shooting.

The scenes are about a half mile from each other. It’s not known if the shootings are related.
