Tomasone sideswiped a Ford Focus driven by 31-year-old James Cotrell of Bennington.  The Focus flew off the shoulder of the road and flipped over.

Meanwhile, Tomasone continued westbound (on the eastbound lane) before exiting the shoulder by crashing through the guide rail and slipping into a ditch. He was transported to Bennington Hospital for evaluation. He was issued a ticket.

Cotrell was brought to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
