Poll workers trained on technology upgrades

Early voting in New York State starts on Saturday, Oct. 26. But that's not all that's changing this year.

Poll workers in Albany County attended a training session Wednesday to get them up to speed with new procedures and new technology.

No matter when you vote, you will not be signing the traditional address book. Instead, New Yorkers will be signing in using iPads.

“It's fairly easy to use. All the voter has to do is basically sign their name using a stylus pen on the iPad itself and beyond that the voting system largely remains unchanged,” Albany County Election Commissioner Rachel Bledi explained.
