There's a possible motive now in connection with the homeless man accused of setting fire to the A-Mart in Pittsfield.
NewsChannel 13's media partners at The Berkshire Eagle report 51-year-old Thomas Roberts was angry that he had been denied service at the store because he was intoxicated.
He had been banned from the A-Mart in August for trying to start some milk crates on fire.
Police say Roberts was captured on video surveillance Tuesday night retrieving what appeared to be a cardboard box and paper bags from a dumpster outside the store and lighting them on fire.
He is charged with arson and is being held without bail.
