Utility companies across the region are preparing for heavy rain and potentially strong winds.

Eversource Energy which powers homes in the Berkshires, has teams of line workers and tree crews ready to go in case of power outages.

National Grid is staging resources now to respond to outages in New York.

Both companies are also operating under its coronavirus pandemic plan, which means strict social distancing and enhanced sanitation.
