Colonie police identify possible suspect in weekend bar stabbing

Colonie police say they have identified a possible suspect in a bar stabbing over the weekend.

Police were called to JJ Rafferty's Bar & Grill on Loudon Road for a fight on Saturday. They found 22-year-old Timothy McLaughlin stabbed in his torso. The suspect fled before police arrived.

Police say McLaughlin and the suspect did not know each other, but were with a group of people who got into a fight.

Police are still trying to locate the suspect.

McLaughlin is recovering at Albany Medical Center.
