Powerful Saturday storms leave dark Sunday for some

Some people were still in the dark much of Sunday after powerful storms swept through parts of the Capital Region on Saturday.

The whipping winds and lightning from Saturday night's storms proved so wicked, power was knocked out across parts of Schenectady and Saratoga counties.

Homeowners and National Grid crews spent the day dealing with the power outages and storm-related damage.

Patrick Stella with National Grid joined crews working overnight Saturday and into Sunday to restore power to as many people as possible, asking that customers to pack their patience as they repair the lines damaged by wind and lightning.
