Power crews make progress after Friday's storms

Temperatures were forecasted to go down near freezing Monday night in Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties. That's not good news for the people still without power from those strong storms last Friday night.

NewsChannel 13 found crews hard at work on Monday, cleaning up downed trees and power lines.

By sunrise on Monday morning, 97 percent of customers who lost their power had it back. Full power restoration was expected by Tuesday night.

National Grid was giving out bottled water and dry ice at the following locations on Monday:

  • Broadalbin Fire Dept., 14 Pine Street, Broadalbin, NY
  • Corinth Fire Dept., 16 Saratoga Avenue, Corinth, NY
  • Speculator Fire Dept., 2834 State Route 30, Speculator, NY
  • Warren County Department of Public Works 4028 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY
