Local family receives long lost Purple Heart Award

The family of a World War II veteran will be reunited with a Purple Heart that was thought to be lost.       

The family of Private First Class Floyd Mabb will be reunited with his Purple Heart during a ceremony on Tuesday afternoon at the American Legion Post in Ballston Spa.

The medal was delivered to County Clerk Craig Hayner after it was found in the lining of a purse purchased at a local garage sale.
