Investigators: Big Quail Street fire began as small grease fire

ALBANY - Investigators say they now know what caused a massive fire on Quail Street last weekend that left 50 people homeless.

They say it started at 176 Quail Street as a grease fire while someone was cooking.

Firefighters say the person living there threw water on it, which is the wrong thing to do. It caused the fire to quickly spread.

The cause of the other weekend fire on Sheridan Avenue is still under investigation.
