Hinds posted on Facebook that it is a demonstration of hate and that the act underscores why people must promote acceptance and inclusion. His office says Lanesborough police are aware of the incident.

NewsChannel 13 reached out to the victim Thursday, but he didn't want to speak with us.

Police are hoping a neighbor's security camera may have caught a glimpse of the suspect.

If you have any information, call police.
