November 01, 2018 05:44 PM

ALBANY - A rally was taking place in Albany Thursday evening in support of Ellazar Williams. The 19-year-old man was paralyzed after being shot by Albany police.

The NAACP is calling on the state Attorney General's Office to investigate the shooting. Albany police say the shooting was justified because Williams picked up a weapon after being told to drop it.
