People will be rallying about water contamination in Cairo on Tuesday.

It was one of the topics discussed at a board meeting on Monday night.

The state Health Department is in the process of setting a maximum PFOS level at 10 parts per trillion.

Sampling from Cairo’s drinking water in 2016 showed levels at 13.3 and 11.3 parts per trillion.

The numbers are going down. Sampling from 2017 had PFOS levels a little over eight parts per trillion.
