Investigators in Rensselaer County need your help identifying a burglary suspect.

Detectives are working to determine whether the same man is connected to one burglary and two more attempted burglaries.

Residents are reminded to keep doors and windows locked.

The one burglary happened in broad daylight on Pine Bowl Road in Poestenkill, according to the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office. They say the suspect got inside through an unlocked front door.

Home surveillance video from Clearview Drive Wednesday in Averill Park shows a man emerging from the woods heading for the home.

Investigators are now trying to figure out if this attempted burglary and another attempted burglary through an unlocked window over on Pine Bowl Road in Poestenkill just a short drive away are connected to the same man they believe burglarized a second home on Pine Bowl.

All three incidents happened Wednesday during the day.

The suspect is described as approximately six feet tall and 165 pounds, wearing a black coat, red scarf, and jeans.
