Smith's owner, Joe Hostig, says crews have been working around the clock. He says considering all of the damage, he's amazed they were able to re-open in 18 days.

"It's been here forever. It's kind of like a landmark of the community and I think it was important to the city of Cohoes to be strong and rebuild and do it without issue," explained Hostig.

Smith's was open in time to serve the lunch crowd on Monday. Hostig calls that an unbelievable miracle.
