Retired NYSP dies of 9/11-related illness

New York State Police are mourning a death of one of their own. 

Sgt. Jeffrey Cicora died from an illness related to his assignment at the World Trade Center following the 9/11 terror attacks.

The sergeant and former station commander in Onondoga County was part of the search and recovery efforts in New York City. 

Cicora is survived by his wife and won.
