Roadwork underway to make Cohoes highway safer for pedestrians

COHOES - There's a traffic advisory for anyone who will be driving through Cohoes anytime soon.

The left-turn lanes in both directions on Route 787 at the Dyke Avenue intersection will now be closed for approximately three weeks.

The roadwork is part of a project to make a stretch of the highway safer for pedestrians.

The project started after teenager Brittany Knight was hit by a car in that area nearly three years ago.
