Colonie police think a robbery and attempted robbery are related.

They say Northway Mobil at 610 Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham was robbed by a suspect with a crowbar just after midnight, Wednesday.

Then around 11 a.m., they say someone tried to rob the GameStop at 800 Loudon Road with a crowbar, but left when the clerk began to call 911.

Both times, the suspect fled in dark-colored cars.

The suspect in the Mobil robbery is described as light skinned (unknown if male or female), 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 155 pounds, with black jacket and hood, white scarf over face, grey pants, tan boots, and black gloves.

The suspect in the GameStop robbery is described as a white female in her 20s, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 110 pounds, wearing a black jacket with dark fur on hood, blue pants, and black sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Colonie police at (518) 783-2744, or submit an anonymous tip to Capital Region Crime Stoppers.
