Fulton County man sentenced for sexually abusing child in 2010

A Fulton County man is heading to state prison for 15 years for sexually abusing a child he was supposed to be babysitting.

Robert Velett was sentenced Friday morning.

The abuse happened in April of 2010. DNA tests linked him to the crime.   

District Attorney Polly Hoye says this isn't Velett's first offense.

He must now register as a sex offender.
